Agility to buy Medgroup
Kuwaiti company Agility Logistics on Wednesday signed an agreement to acquire Paris-based freight forwarding and logistics firm Medgroup that manages general cargo, fairs and exhibitions and project logistics with a specialization in the oil and gas industry.
The deal, of which financial details have not been disclosed, will see Medorient Algeria, Medorient France and Med-Logistics UK, all join Agility.
Medgroup has history with Agility having served as an agent offering integrated door-to-door service to Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia.
“By integrating the Medgroup into our global network, we have not only expanded our reach in the North Africa and European region but also enhanced the depth of our service offering.' said Beat Simon, Agility’s chief executive officer for Europe.
