Agility to make Synergy purchases

Agility to make Synergy purchases Agility, the Kuwaiti logistics firm previously known as PWC Logistics, has reached agreement to buy two Singapore-based logistics companies. No financial details were provided.
   The company said the purchases of Synergy Shipping Pte Ltd. (SSPL) and Synergy Logistics Pte Ltd. (SLPL) would help build its presence in the energy and breakbulk sectors in Southeast Asia.
   The two acquisitions specialize in the transportation of oilfield tubulars and related exploration and drilling equipments. They also provide a broad range of international freight forwarding services between Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the United States.
   The acquisition will also include subsidiary PT Synergy Indonesia (PTSI) based in Batam, Indonesia. PTSI operates its own tugs, barges as well as a fleet of transportation equipment in Batam with plans to expand further in the marine and projects sectors.
