Air France partners with container firm

The carrier’s agreement with va-Q-tec will provide customers with better cold-chain options.    Air France-KLM Martinair Cargo has linked up with va-Q-tec, Ltd., for better transportation of pharmaceutical products, allowing Air France customers to rent va-Q-tec’s containers directly from the carrier.
   The containers use vacuum insulation to create a stable environment that can range from -50 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius.
   Eelco van Asch, the carrier’s senior vice president of sales and distribution, said Air France “continuously searches for innovative and reliable solutions that serve the pharma industry better. We are glad to win va-Q-tec as a partner to expand our Variation Pharma Solutions. This partnership supports Air France-KLM-Martinair Cargo’s market leadership in Reliable Passive Cold Chain Solutions targeting the replacement of single use packaging.”
