Air Methods tightens management

Air Methods Corp., a global provider of air medical transportation, said it’s consolidating its management to improve operations efficiency.
The company has eliminated its chief operating officer position, held by Paul Tate. The responsibilities are being distributed among senior staff and Tate is transitioning to a consultant role in the company.
Air Methods is one of the larger air medical transport services for U.S. hospitals and currently operates a fleet of more than 400 helicopters and planes.
