AIRBORNE EXPRESS EXTENDS GROUND DELIVERY SERVICE TO SMALL SHIPPERS
Airborne Inc. on Tuesday said it is extending its ground delivery service to small business shipping customers through its Internet Shipping system, AirborneExchange, available at http://www.Airborne.com.
The firm said the move is part of a strategy to grow beyond its high-volume corporate customer base.
'We are now extending ground delivery to a broader customer base, giving small business customers greater accessibility to our full portfolio of shipping options,' said Rich Corrado, senior vice president of marketing for Airborne Express.
Service benefits include scanning system, tracing every ground package from origin to destination, covering air and ground, domestic and international shipments. Shipments are guaranteed to arrive within one to five business days, depending on distance.
