AirBridge Cargo starts first Russian domestic service

Scheduled cargo airline AirBridge Cargo, part of Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Group, has started its first-ever domestic service from Moscow to Krasnoyarsk.

The weekly service started Saturday and will run until Dec. 31. It uses Boeing 747-200F aircraft departing Moscow at 4:30 a.m., arriving Krasnoyarsk at 12:30 p.m.

AirBridge Cargo said the “new service offering is stipulated by strong demand for domestic cargo flights and seasonal growth of demand for efficient cargo delivery, which is traditional in the New Year period.”

In order to deliver freights to final destinations, AirBridge Cargo said it would offer motor tracking from Krasnoyarsk trans-Siberia and convenient connections to cargo flights by Ilyushin IL-96 planes to the Far East.
