AirBridgeCargo Airlines has welcomed its fifth 747-8 freighter from Boeing, increasing its fleet to thirteen.
“AirBridgeCargo has already experienced the outstanding payload and operating economics of the 747-8 family,” stated Denis Ilin, executive president of AirBridgeCargo Airlines. “We are very excited to receive our fifth 747-8 freighter.”
The airline said the new freighter is part of its continuing efforts to modernize its fleet, and provides more cargo capacity, allowing for 16-percent more cargo volume than the 747-400. The airline said it will be used on its existing route network that links Europe, Asia and the United States via its hub in Moscow.
