AirBridgeCargo expands Russian destinations

AirBridgeCargo Airlines said it is expanding its route network late this month to include weekly service between Amsterdam and Yekaterinburg and between Frankfurt, Germany and Moscow.

Yekaterinburg's location near major highways on the Trans-Siberian corridor will allow the Russian carrier to provide cargo delivery to cities such as Tyumen, Nizhnevertovak, Surgut, Nefteyugansk and Chelyabinsk. Onward connections with the airline's 747 freighter fleet will be available to Hong Kong and other Asian destinations within the current network.

The scheduled cargo airline of the Volga-Dneper Group is also launching service on May 30 between Frankfurt and Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. ABC will be the first carrier to provide freighter service between the two cities. The new route was added because of an increase in volumes and customer requirements, the airline said.
