AirBridgeCargo starts Amsterdam/Almaty service

AirBridgeCargo starts Amsterdam/Almaty service    AirBridgeCargo Airlines said Friday it is launching a new Boeing 747 freighter service from Amsterdam to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
   The weekly flight starts today and operate via ABC's hub at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow connect with the rest of ABC's network.
   Almaty is a new destination for the airlines, which said it sees significant potential in the Kazakhstan market and expects to attract a wide range of cargo shipments, including high-value luxury goods from France, Germany and Belgium as well as the Netherlands.
   In 2009, ABC has started a twice-weekly route from Maastricht, Holland, to Moscow, meaning the country is served by eight ABC flights per week, all with direct connections to Russia, Central Asia as well as efficient transit times linking Asia over Russian airspace, said Tatyana Arslanova, ABC's executive senior vice president of strategy, marketing and sales.
   The airline had recently added services to Milan, Kabul and Zaragoza.
