AirNet sharpens charter activities

   AirNet Systems, an express air cargo airline based in Ohio, has changed its name to AirNet Cargo Charter Services alongside launching new services around chartered cargo.
   The company said its goal is to enhance its express cargo charter airline operations in North America.
   “This rebranding sharpens our focus around key market segments that require the services of our high performance airline in the life sciences, banking, security-sensitive and high-value sectors,” said Frank C. DiMaria, AirNet’s senior vice president of sales and marketing. “This positions us for growth, and leverages our fleet of aircraft.”
   To focus on growth opportunities within its core airline operations, AirNet also announced the sale of its non-bank Same Day Express/Next Flight Out business to service provider MNX.
