ALLIANCE ENDS SHORT-LIVED PACIFIC SERVICE

   New World Alliance members APL, Hyundai Merchant Marine and MOL have ended their weekly PSV service in the crowded transpacific market.

   The PSV service started in June 2002. It deployed five ships averaging 4,377 TEUs and called at Los Angeles, Calif.; Vancouver, B.C.; Seattle, Wash.; Tokyo; Nagoya; Kobe; Kaohsiung; Hong Kong; Yantian; Los Angeles; Vancouver and Seattle.
