ALLIED HOLDINGS NAMES SAWYER PRESIDENT, CEO

ALLIED HOLDINGS NAMES SAWYER PRESIDENT, CEO    Hugh E. Sawyer has been named president and chief executive officer of Allie Holdings Inc., the parent company of several subsidiaries that provide logistics, distribution and transportation services to the automotive industry.
   Sawyer, who is president and CEO of Aegis Communications Group Inc., succeeds Robert J. Rutland, who will remain as chairman of Allied Holdings.
   Prior to his current position, Sawyer was president of Allied Automotive Group, Allied's largest subsidiary, in 2000. Before joining Allied, he was president and CEO of the National Linen Service, a subsidiary of National Services Industries Inc., and served as president of Wells Fargo Armored Service Corp.
