Allied Logistics moves into Ohio

An affiliate of warehousing company Allied Logistics has banded together with the Industrial Real Estate Group and Gilco International to acquire a 228-building site in Ohio formerly occupied by a cabinet manufacturer.
The development, which spans 2.5 million square feet, has access to both CSX and Norfolk Southern railroads.
Allied Logistics will move into a 150,000-square-foot space by the second quarter to establish its logistics operations in Ohio. The rest of the space is being marketed to third party logistics providers.
“This facility is ideally suited for distribution. The large size and high clearances of the buildings and the site’s multi-modal transportation access offer a wide range of opportunities for a number of different businesses to locate here,” Allied’s Jeff Smith said in a statement. – Jon Ross
