American Airlines adds Fort Lauderdale-Dominican Republic flight
American Airlines has added a daily flight between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The flight is a resumption of a daily flight that had been serving the two points, but now uses a Boeing 737-800 aircraft that has more than twice the belly cargo space of earlier 737 models.
“We continued seeing that the demand for service between Fort Lauderdale and Latin America and the Caribbean continues on the rise,” said Rafael Sanchez, American Airlines' chief director in the Dominican Republic, in a statement.
