American Airlines launches new Asian routings

   American Airlines has launched two daily, non-stop services to Asia from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, with one routing to Hong Kong International Airport, and the other heading to Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
   The flights to Hong Kong will use a Boeing 777-300ER, with the Shanghai flights being flown with a Boeing 777-200ER.
   While Hong Kong is a new destination for American, the carrier already flies to Shanghai from Los Angeles International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
   In May, American Airlines flew 204.9 million cargo-ton miles, a 6.4-percent, year-over-year, increase. In the first five months of the year, cargo activity is up by 10.8 percent when compared to the first five months of 2013.
