American announces future flights to Milan, Barcelona American Airlines will start two new services connecting New York with Milan, Italy and Barcelona, Spain on May 1, 2008.
   The services will operate out of New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.
   American also said it will begin service between JFK and London’s Stansted Airport on Oct. 28. A second daily flight will be added on April 7.
   The airline will use Boeing 767-300 planes on all three routes.
   'These new routes further demonstrate American's commitment to New York as an important international gateway,' said Dan Garton, American’s executive vice president of marketing, in a statement. 'That commitment equates to 244 daily departures from our New York airports to 59 nonstop destinations, 26 of which are international.'
