AMERICAN ENHANCES ôEXPEDITEFSö WITH NEW ORIGINS, LARGER PIECES

American Airlines Cargo said Tuesday it is launching a service on three continents, following its success in the United States.

“Expeditefs” will include new origins from Japan, Canada and Europe, and it premiered Tuesday in Zurich, Brussels and Madrid.

The flight-specific product offers faster transit times for shippers of heavier bulk pieces and containerized freight, backed by a 100-percent service quality guarantee.

In addition to the new international origins announced for the product, American has responded to customer feedback by engineering expanded size and weight capabilities to handle larger pieces. With the heavier bulk piece weight on widebody flights, American Airlines Cargo can also accept pieces up to the maximum size limits for all widebody planes.

American is on schedule to launch “Expeditefs” from Latin America origins in the first quarter of 2003.
