Americold expands Utah distribution center

The warehousing and food logistics company will add 6.5 million cubic feet of capacity to its Clearfield, Utah facility.

   Americold, a warehousing and food logistics company, will add 6.5 million cubic feet of capacity to its Clearfield, Utah distribution center this year.
   Americold’s new building will be equipped with ammonia-free, self-contained, refrigeration units with no engine room requirement, and will feature a dock with a temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and adjustable temperature zones that will be able to reach as low as negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit, the company said.
   The facility is expected to commence operations by the fourth quarter of 2017.
   Based in Atlanta, Americold owns and operates over 165 temperature-controlled warehouses domestically and internationally.
