The projects, as part of the public-private partnership known as the Alaska AeroNexus Alliance, have attracted the interest of Irwin Development Group, Lynxs Group and Pfeffer Development, along with three banks, to develop commercial warehousing, distribution centers and product assembly operations at the airport.
The Alaska AeroNexus Alliance is a partnership of the Alaska International Airport System, Municipality of Anchorage and the Anchorage Economic Development Corp. According to the airport, “the mission of the partnership is to make global supply chains more efficient by utilizing the strong flight connectivity and uniquely central location of Anchorage and the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.”
As a result, the Alaska AeroNexus Alliance is pursuing opportunities that are mutually beneficial for Anchorage International Airport’s location, air cargo connectivity and services such as pharmaceutical logistics, automotive electronics and consumer electronics.
“Incorporating capital partners and commercial developers early in our business development and outreach process will ensure projects can be started and completed faster and more cost effectively,” said Will Kyzer, Logistics Business Development Director for Alaskan Economic Development Corp. “We welcome the opportunity to work with companies on opportunities related to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.”
