Antillean Marine increasing bunker charges Antillean Marine will increase the bunker surcharge for its Dominican Republic and Haiti services effective August 24.
   Antillean, which offers sailings from its Miami River facilities, said it will increase the fuel surcharge for 20-foot containers to $265 from $240, while the charge for 40-footers will go to $490 from $440 and for 45-footers to $565 from $505.
   Antillean said the increase will apply to its general tariff, as well as service contract rates, both southbound and northbound.
   'We apologize for this unexpected increase,' a statement from Antillean said, adding it would continue to 'provide the service that is expected of us by our loyal and faithful customers.'
