APi picks Astea for growth

   Astea International will provide its services to streamline and strengthen the mobile and business operations of APi Group.
   APi, which serves the industrial, specialty construction and life safety markets, said it chose Astea to help with lifecycle management and mobility solutions for its customers.
   APi has about 200 locations and 40 subsidiaries each operating as independent companies across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
   Julius Chepey, chief information officer of APi Group said “to continue the level of service our customers have grown to expect, as well as grow our business, we knew we would need to deploy a cross-company service management and mobility solution.”
   Chepey said the goals for the Astea solution are to provide information and work orders to field engineers and others on mobile devices; allow those in the field to recognize and capture additional revenue opportunities; accelerate accurate data capture and analytics; and unify information in the field with what’s available to call center agents and customer service representatives.
