The opening signaled the official start of the APL Logistics Oman SAOC joint venture to develop Oman as a regional logistics hub.
APL Logistics Ltd (APLL) has officially opened the office of its newest joint venture company, APL Logistics Oman SAOC (APLL Oman), in Muscat, Oman, the company said Thursday.
The partnership was announced in August 2016 between APLL and Arab Global Logistics LLC, which signaled the initiative to develop Oman as a regional logistics hub, serving markets in the Middle-East and East Africa.
The joint venture now offers services for inbound and production logistics, finished vehicle logistics, multi-modal transportation, consolidation, order management, customs brokerage and packaging.
“We are delighted to expand our direct presence in the country to build closer relationships with customers and serve them better,” said Mr. Muhammad Azfar Khan, Chairman of Board for APLL Oman. “We are committed to developing Oman as a regional logistics hub that will offer and deliver globally-proven logistics solutions to customers in the country and the surrounding region.”
APLL is a member of the global logistics provider Kintetsu World Express group, which provides international freight forwarding services to both origins and destinations.
