APL, LYKES JOIN CENTRAL AMERICAN DISCUSSION AGREEMENT
APL and Lykes Lines have joined the Central American Discussion
Agreement.
Under the agreement, participating carriers discuss freight rates and
other issues on the route between the U.S., Panama, Guatemala and Costa Rica, but they
don’t make binding decisions on rate levels.
The Central American Discussion Agreement now comprises Crowley,
Maersk, Sea-Land, Seaboard, Concorde Shipping, Dole Ocean Liner Express, King Ocean, APL
and Lykes.
