APL names Bl÷ck managing director for Germany, Central Europe
APL has appointed Volker Bl'ck as managing director for Germany and Central Europe.

Based in Hamburg, Bl'ck will also have overall responsibility for APL Logistics' operations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Having worked for APL in the 1990s as general manager for Germany, Bl'ck returned to the container shipping company at the end of 2006 as director, international freight services, following stints with Exel and DHL.
