APL’s average box revenue continues climb
Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines’ latest operational update shows a 10 percent rise in average revenue per FEU for its ocean carrier subsidiary APL during a four-week period ended Sept. 21.
APL’s average revenue per FEU during the period improved to $2,922, from $2,658 a year ago. At the same time, APL moved 191,800 FEUs, up 15 percent against 166,800 FEUs last year, “reflecting continued robust container demand growth,” NOL said.
For the year, APL’s volume is up 11 percent to 1.69 million FEUs with the average revenue per FEU up 1 percent to $2,690.
