APL’s revenue per FEU down 9%

   APL’s average revenue per 40-foot equivalent unit during the four-week period ended June 30 dropped 9 percent to $2,599, from $2,867 in the same period last year, reported parent company Neptune Orient Lines today.

   This occurred despite a 5 percent rise in volume to 165,200 FEUs from 156,600 FEUs.

   For the year to date, Singapore-based APL’s volume is up 5 percent to 1.01 million FEUs from 960,300. APL’s average revenue per FEU for the year so far has dropped 4 percent to $2,650 from $2,769.
