APM said to be eyeing New Zealand terminal APM Terminals, A.P. Moller Maersk's terminal operator subsidiary, is rumored to be eyeing terminals in New Zealand, according to a report Tuesday in the New Zealand Herald.
   APM New Zealand Managing Director Tony Gibson wouldn't comment on specifics, but told the Herald that, “in large locations, it is important that you secure infrastructure, where you have got a steady flow of goods to your ship.”
   APM operates in every continent except for the Oceania region. Yet Maersk Line, the liner-shipping arm of the company, moves about 60 percent of New Zealand's ocean-bound cargo, according to the New Zealand Importers Institute.
   Last fall, Maersk Line began calling almost exclusively at the Port of Auckland (and away from the Port of Tauranga), yet congestion is plaguing the capital port, the newspaper reported.
