APM Terminals to develop new Pipapav terminal

APM Terminals, part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk group, will invest about 10 billion Indian rupees ($226 million) to develop a new container berth at Pipavav Port in the Indian state of Gujarat, according to various reports.

   APM already operates the existing terminal at India’s first private sector port and the new terminal is expected to have a quay length of 385 meters (1,263 feet).
