Applicants sought for Broward international business committee The Broward County Office of Economic Development is seeking applications for an ad hoc committee that would work on forming the proposed Broward County Center for International Business.
   The committee, authorized by the Broward County Commissioners in April, would help establish a framework for the international business center, which was suggested after an eight-month study by the Broward County International Select Committee. That committee was formed to study the needs of the international business and diplomatic communities within Broward County.
   The ad hoc committee would include four members of the international business community with knowledge of the international trade process, as well as representatives from each of the sectors of education, tourism, real estate development, international finance and banking, and international law.
   There will also be six members appointed from the directors of the Office of Economic Development, Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, a representative from the Florida Trading Partners, plus the president of the Broward Alliance.
