Argentina extends limits on wheat exports

Argentina extends limits on wheat exports

The Argentine government has extended limits on wheat exports in an effort to ensure adequate domestic supplies in the aftermath of freezing weather that damaged wheat crops, according to a Reuters report.

The government has indefinitely suspended the issuance of new wheat-export permits. The suspensions were originally scheduled to end this week.

Argentina is the world's fourth-largest wheat exporter, selling wheat in both regional and global markets.
