Aries sells containership
Aries Maritime Transport Ltd. said Monday it has completed the sale of the Ocean Hope, a 1989-built container vessel, to an unrelated third party for a net price of $2.3 million.
Proceeds from the sale of the Ocean Hope, which was delivered on June 29, will be used to pay down debt under the company’s fully revolving credit facility.
Aries owns and operates a fleet of nine tankers and two other containerships with capacity of 2,917 TEU each.
