ASIA/AUSTRALIA CONSORTIUM REVAMPS SERVICE
Anscon, the major Asia/Australia consortium that includes "K"
Line,
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, NYK, Orient Overseas Container Line, Yangming,
Australian National Line, P&O Nedlloyd and Zim, has revamped its weekly
service.
The consortium has added direct calls at the North China ports of
Qingdao and Shanghai.
From mid-June, the weekly service will call at Osaka, Busan, Qingdao,
Shanghai, Keelung, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
A spokesman for OOCL said that the 11-day transit time from Keelung to
Sydney is the best in the industry.
