Asia/Australia loop changes Shenzhen call

   A multicarrier loop between Asia and Australia will change its port of call in Shenzhen from Chiwan to Yantian effective Nov. 6, according to a notice from Hapag-Lloyd.

   The German container line, along with APL, Evergreen, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Maersk Line, each provide one ship on the five-vessel service, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data. Average vessel size on the service is 4,278 TEUs and the rotation will be Kaohsiung, Yantian, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Kaohsiung.

   The service is called AAS by Hapag-Lloyd and Evergreen, CAS by APL, FA2 by Hyundai, and Yo-Yo by Maersk. Hamburg S'd and Mediterranean Shipping Co. are slot buyers on the service.
