Asian airlines’ freight up 4% in November    The Kuala Lumpur-based Association of Asia Pacific Airlines reported that its 17 member airlines transported 4.7 million freight-ton kilometers in November, up 4 percent compared to the same month in 2004.
   The association said international freight traffic capacity increased 3.1 percent, resulting in a 0.6-percent improvement in freight load factor, to 68.7 percent.
   For the first 11 months, air freight for the member airlines was up 3.2 percent to 46.8 million freight-ton kilometers, from 45.4 million freight-ton kilometers last year. The average freight load factor in the 11-month period for the Asian airlines was down 1.2 percent to 66.2 percent.
   Association of Asia Pacific Airlines members are: Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, China Airlines, Dragonair, EVA Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Malaysia Airlines, Philippines Airlines, Qantas Airways, Royal Brunei Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International and Vietnam Airlines.
