ATLAS AIR AND VOLGA-DNEPR TO PROVIDE JOINT SERVICES

ATLAS AIR AND VOLGA-DNEPR TO PROVIDE JOINT SERVICES    Atlas Air, Inc., has signed an agreement with the world’s largest provider of outsize air cargo capacity, Volga-Dnepr Airlines to act as the general sales agent to U.S. federal agencies for Volga-Dnepr’s AN-124-100 services. The AN-124-100 aircraft can carry outsize cargo such as oilrigs, launch vehicles, satellites, chemical reactors and heavy machinery.
   “Through this relationship, Atlas Air and Volga-Dnepr Airlines will be able to provide U.S. federal agencies with a viable alternative for the prompt and efficient transport of their outsized cargo, ” said Richard Shuyler, chief executive officer of atlas Air. “Additionally, this is the first step in what we hope will be an expanded and long-term relationship with Volga-Dnepr.
