ATLAS AIR NAMES GALBRAITH, WOODARD TO BOARD

   Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. has elected Richard A. 'Tony' Galbraith and Ronald B. Woodard to its board.

   Galbraith, 62, was treasurer of British Airways from 1983 until his retirement in 1998. Prior to joining BA, he was treasurer and manager of oil and financial services for the P&O Group. He replaces David McLaughlin, who retired from Atlas Air's board.

   Woodard, 58, takes a newly created position on the board. He was president of Boeing Commercial Airline group of the Boeing Co. from 1995 to 1998, responsible for marketing and launching Boeing's 777-300, 757-300, 767-400 and 737-900 aircraft. He joined Boeing in 1966 and held a variety of management and executive positions. Currently, he is president and chief executive officer and director of MagnaDrive Corp.

   Atlas Air, based in Purchase, N.Y., operates a fleet of 747 freighters under charter, including aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance.
