The decision follows after an Australian television program, Four Corners, showed animals exported to Indonesia being beaten, whipped and kicked prior to slaughter.
Indonesia is Australia’s key market for live cattle exports, the broadcaster said, taking 60 percent of all cattle, and in 2010, the trade was worth more than $300 million.
