Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, a business division of Phoenix-based Avnet, has launched the Rapid Benefit Estimation Tool (RaBET) for reducing supply chain costs. RaBET is a free supply chain diagnostic tool that aims to show customers ways to save money by using Avnet as their supply chain partner.
John Sanders, director, supply chain management, Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, said “with RaBET, users can easily calculate the impact that outsourcing their supply chain can have on their bottom line and proceed to engage us in deeper discovery conversations, already knowing their value targets.”
The RaBET software is fairly straightforward and requires just a few data points before it can calculate areas of cost savings for potential Avnet customers. The service can compare current supply chain expenses based on factors like working capital, purchasing, warehousing, receiving, production, finance, operations, and modes used.
Users can modify each category and get very specific data on activities throughout their supply process.
