Ay named partner at Mid-Ship Group
Mid-Ship Group has appointed Aysan Ay to partner, shareholder and board director.
Ay joined Mid-Ship Marine in September 1993 as a shipbroker in the company's Port Washington, N.Y., headquarters. He was later promoted to vice president.
Four years ago, Ay returned to Turkey and helped Mid-Ship open a chartering and logistics office in Istanbul. Mid-Ship credits Ay for growing and diversifying its activities in Turkey, including agency work in the Bosphorus and coordinating activities with Mid-Ship's Turkish surveying company Marine Inspection and Logistics.
