BA Cargo adds second Chicago service

British Airways World Cargo said Monday it is doubling its freighter frequency from London to Chicago with the addition of another weekly flight.

The flight was added due to “commercial demand,” the airline said, and gives shippers the option of using a faster transit time between Europe and Chicago.

The new flight will have a three-day routing of Stansted-Frankfurt-Chicago-Atlanta, while the existing service to Chicago is a six-day routing of Stansted-Frankfurt-Chicago-Houston.

'This new flight has been implemented in response to customer demand in the region,” said David Shepherd, senior vice president of Europe and the Americas. “It will give our customers greater flexibility by increasing the range of main deck freight options available, especially to the Middle East.'
