Terminals at the port handled 43,057 cars compared to the previous record of 42,830 set in October 2010. Baltimore also set a record for export vehicles with 18,592, surpassing October 2008’s mark of 16,041.
The second-largest auto port in the nation experienced a record first half of the year, with auto tonnage (not actual units) up 15 percent to 538,000 tons.
