Thirty-five-year industry veteran John Batten has taken up the job of managing director at Coyne Airways, and he’s looking to expand the Coyne brand into new markets.
Batten came to the airline from Swissport, where he served as executive vice president of global cargo. He served for 25 years at TNT and worked as senior vice president of worldwide cargo at Qatar Airways.
“I intend to grow the business and further develop our customer base and operational capability,” Batten said in a statement. “The focus is very much on improving the overall customer experience.”
No expansion is imminent, but the carrier did just add new destinations in Africa. – Jon Ross
