BAX Global names IT VP
Irvine, Calif.-based shipping giant BAX Global Wednesday said it appointed Bill Sawtell, network and integration services director, as the firm's new vice president of information technology infrastructure and service delivery.
Groups under Sawtell's leadership within the infrastructure service delivery organization include BAX's dedicated data center in Denver, IT security, production services/change control, and technical support.
Previously at BAX Global, Sawtell lead areas supporting network voice/data services, Oracle hardware/databases, e-mail messaging systems, and personal computers and databases. Sawtell has been with BAX for more than eight years in various positions.
Prior to BAX, Sawtell was with Oakwood Health Care System in Dearborn, Mich., for more than 10 years, with progressive responsibility until his last position as a telecommunications consultant.
