BAX GLOBAL TO PROVIDE SUPPLY CHAIN SERVICES FOR GAS TURBINE VENTURE
BAX Global said Wednesday it has been awarded a three-year contract to provide supply chain services to Vericor Power Systems LLC, a U.S.-based joint venture of Honeywell Engines and Systems and DaimlerChrysler's MTU Aero Engines.
Irvine, Calif.-based BAX Global will provide all logistics, including warehousing, inbound and outbound management of all parts for the energy and gas turbine propulsion company based in Atlanta.
The contract calls for BAX to manage more than 36,000 parts a yeqar for Vericor, with daily inventory storage of more than 1,500 parts. BAX will also handle purchase order follow-up, parts kit preparation for Vericor's turbine engines and Web-based parts tracking on a global basis.
