BAX UNVEILS INSTANT OCEAN LCL PRICING TOOL       BAX Global Inc. on Wednesday offered the industry’s first instant online rate quote for LCL ocean shipment from anywhere in the United States to anywhere in the world.
   The new online feature can be found on BAX Global’s Web site, www.baxglobal.com/Ocean.
   Over the last year, the company has been expanding its Ocean Services capabilities, destinations and service centers. A BAX Global executive said this is the first of several new ocean enhancements to be initiated this year. “It further demonstrates the global scope of our oceans services capabilities,” said Peter Gruettner, vice president of BAX Ocean Services.
   The service allows each price quote, with detail, to be e-mailed directly to the Web user’s customer for review. The LCL online U.S. pricing tool ties in with BAX’s sailing schedules and weekly LCL ocean consolidations to Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Australia-New Zealand, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
   For online customers, BAX Ocean Services offers three main service sections for ocean customers: Project Cargo, Import/Export Services and Consolidation Services.
