BDP files complaint against NVO
Freight forwarder BDP International has filed a complaint with the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission against United Transport Tankcontainers Inc., a non-vessel-operating common carrier.
BDP alleges United failed to pay its freight forwarder compensation pursuant to United’s published tariff, violating a section of the Shipping Act. BDP said it suffered $143,765 in damages.
The case has been referred to the FMC’s Office of Administrative Law Judges.
