BDP Project Logistics adds engineering division

BDP Project Logistics adds engineering division BDP Project Logistics said Tuesday it has established an engineering division to support its global activities.
   The new unit will provide professional route surveys, method statements and infrastructure-related structural engineering calculations, as well as technical methods for lifting and positioning heavy-lift equipment.
   “These services, among others, are increasingly required by our target verticals, such as EPC contractors, power generation, mining and the chemical and petrochemical industries,” said Luc Van Heygen, BDP Project Logistics managing director of the Americas and Europe.
   The new division will be headed by Hendrik Wagner, who recently joined the company at its regional headquarters in Nuremberg, Germany. In January 2009, the division will relocate to new quarters in Leipzig.
