Bennett International Group launches new logistics firm

McDonough, Ga.-based transportation and logistics company Bennett International Group established BOSS Engineered Logistics to provide more neutral third-party logistics solutions.    Bennett International Group, LLC has established a non-asset-based transportation logistics firm, BOSS Engineered Logistics, LLC (BEL), in order to provide more neutral third-party logistics solutions, Bennett said Thursday.
   BEL joins the company’s portfolio of business units for domestic and international shipping, trucking, drive-away and portable buildings. Although it will be backed and supported by Bennett, BEL will be marketed separately and will operate independently.
   BEL provides brokerage of individual freight shipments for trucking, intermodal, rail and international freight shipping, along with a suite of managed transportation services.
   “We are seeing a rising demand by customers for 3PLs that are non-asset biased,” said BEL President Jim Handoush, who leads BEL with more than 30 years of industry experience. “Many companies today are challenged with a lack of technology, volume buying power and visibility, and they need flexible options. We are starting the BEL brand to engineer customized solutions that result in the best rates possible, whether it is through Bennett or another vendor.”
   Based out of McDonough, Ga., Bennett has nine affiliated operating companies to provide integrated transportation and supply chain management solutions throughout the world.
