Bernuth Lines plans bunker charge increases Bernuth Lines will implement an increase in its bunker surcharge for shipments between the United States and the Caribbean effective Feb. 17.
   The increase, attributed to the Miami-based carrier's rising fuel costs, will apply to southbound and northbound shipments between the U.S. and Anguilla, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Suriname and Trinidad & Tobago.
   The surcharge will increase $48 to $306 for 20-foot containers, by $96 to $596 for 40-foot containers, and by $109 to $675 for equipment over 40 feet.
