Miami-based Bernuth said the increase for the island off the Colombian mainland will be $75 for 20-foot equipment and $150 for 40-foot equipment. The increase will apply to both service contract and tariff rates for northbound and southbound shipments.
In addition, Bernuth said it will increase its 'road tax' for southbound shipments to St. Maarten, also effective Nov. 25. The charge will increase to $168 for 20-foot equipment and $186 for 40-footers.
